Financial Aid Reminders

To be considered for Maryland state aid and to receive priority for HCC Educational Foundation scholarships, students should complete the FAFSA by March 1.

Students should regularly check their HCC email and MyHCC portal for important updates regarding their financial aid status and required documentation. Please note that financial aid processing may take up to four weeks, so plan ahead!

Consent Required: Students and their contributors (if applicable) must provide consent to share tax information from the IRS. Without consent, the student will not be eligible for federal aid. If your household income has changed significantly from the prior year, contact Financial Aid Services to discuss a potential review of your circumstances.

All students are encouraged to complete the HCC Scholarship Application and the Required Agreements to be considered for Foundation scholarships. Apply at: https://howardcc.scholarshipuniverse.com/. Be sure to check Scholarship Universe periodically for new opportunities throughout the year.

Remember: Students must reapply for financial aid each academic year. The FAFSA, Maryland One App, and HCC Scholarship Application open every fall or early spring for the upcoming academic year.
