This curriculum is designed for students transferring to a four-year institution majoring in high-demand technological media programs. Students are advised to check the requirements of the institution to which they intend to transfer. The Audio Video Media Production area of concentration primarily explores story/script development and audio/video production techniques. Students learn through hands-on experience with digital and computer-based technology.

A graduate should be able to

  1. Identify, understand, evaluate, and apply ethical reasoning in electronic media production.
  2. Develop and demonstrate self-confidence, motivation, open-mindedness, risk-taking, and insight as it applies to electronic media production.
  3. Analyze and demonstrate the use of audiovisual media communication strategy fundamentals.
  4. Plan and execute production strategy and workflow in an electronic media environment.

Total Credit Hours: 60

The Arts & Humanities Core requirement may alternatively be fulfilled by completing a World Language Sequence plus one of the following courses: SPCH 151THET 102THET 103THET 202THET 241, or WMST 193. Students who choose to complete a World Language Sequence are not required to complete General Education Core Electives.
