ARTT 281 Web Design and Production II

This course is a continuation of Web Design and Production I. Taught from a design perspective, students will explore basic multimedia production in Adobe Flash and include multimedia components, as well as advanced behaviors and Javascripts, into websites using Adobe Dreamweaver. Students will also examine CSS layout, template-driven websites, and dynamic content using PHP.

  1. 1. Evaluate and apply web design conventions to create advanced interface designs
  2. 2. Create and utilize Flash media in interface designs
  3. 3. Use Adobe Dreamweaver to produce web pages using CSS layout techniques
  4. 4. Utilize advanced JavaScripts and behaviors in Adobe Dreamweaver
  5. 5. Create dynamic web pages using PHP
  6. 6. Understand database connectivity in website functions
