Course Objectives

1. 1. Describe common human diseases in terms of causes, lesions, and typical manifestations relative to the field of physical therapy.
2. 2. Use the terminology of pathology in the appropriate context.
3. 3. Formulate an understanding of basic disease mechanisms, including the structural, biochemical, and functional limitations that accompany disease.
4. 4. Identify the foundations of cell injury, adaptation, inflammation, and repair.
5. 5. Discuss the clinical implications of various systemic pathologies.
