ARTT-245 Black-and-White Film Photography II
	This intermediate film photography course explores composition, lighting, and experimental camera and printing techniques. Assignments provide opportunities for creative self-expression. Students will explore and work with various films and printing papers. A fully adjustable 35mm SLR FILM camera and tripod are required.

		- 1.	Identify and illustrate advanced elements of composition and design.
- 2.	Identify the components of an effective portfolio.
- 3.	Apply advanced exposure techniques to photographic works.
- 4.	Employ studio lighting techniques in a group of photographs.
- 5.	Apply advanced darkroom techniques to produce photographs.
- 6.	Compare and use various types of black/white films.
- 7.	Compare and use various types of camera filters.
- 8.	Compare and use various types of photographic paper.
- 9.	Analyze photographic exhibits in a journal.
- 10.	Keep a journal for furthering growth and development as an artist.
- 11.	Analyze artistic expression as reflected around the world.
- 12.	Critique photographs for content, quality, and composition.
- 13.	Evaluate one’s own photographs and select images that will be submitted in a properly constructed portfolio.
