CMSY 128 Introduction to HTML

After successful completion of this course, students will be able to utilize various structural and design components of HTML and CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) when planning and creating a well-designed website. All of the work (except tests) may be done outside of class if the student has compatible software.

Course Objectives

  1. 1. Utilize various structural and design components when planning and creating a well-designed website.
  2. 2. Experiment with the fundamentals of HTML through creating a basic webpage.
  3. 3. Construct a webpage template containing HTML elements to be used in developing supplementary webpages.
  4. 4. Support a website through the inclusion of links, images, headings, and lists.
  5. 5. Apply the principles of CSS when developing style rules for formatting webpages.
