TVRD-240 Video Production II

This course will include the intermediate skills of video: producing, directing, camera techniques, lighting and sound techniques, and editing techniques. The emphasis will be on producing television shows using field and studio production techniques and design principles.

  1. 1. Produce television news packages utilizing field and studio production techniques.
  2. 2. Build teams for efficient production process.
  3. 3. Demonstrate proficient use of studio camera functions and elements.
  4. 4. Define and implement complex shot framing and composition.
  5. 5. Design and implement studio and field lighting techniques.
  6. 6. Understand the use of microphones, audio mixers, and audio recording techniques.
  7. 7. Demonstrate aesthetics of continuity editing in a digital environment.
  8. 8. Discuss the history of Broadcast Journalism.
  9. 9. Demonstrate an understanding of Copyright Law.
