Students enrolling in the business management program will have the opportunity to gain a variety of business and management skills designed to prepare them for immediate employment in management. Whether they are aspiring, new, or experienced managers, students will be prepared to successfully manage businesses. The major emphasis of the business management program is the development and improvement of broadly applicable business and management skills.

A graduate should be able to
- 1. Construct and and analyze business plans that incorporate varying economic systems, types of ownership, and types of business contacts, domestic or international.
- 2. Apply appropriate management functions to a business setting, including problem-solving/decision-making, use of personnel policies, conflict resolution skills, and global orientation.
- 3. Demonstrate satisfactory levels of accounting skills, analyses of financial data, cash-flow management, and use of short- and long-term financing sources.
- 4. Analyze and construct a marketing strategy which accounts for consumer and organizational markets and marketing mix; also demonstrate appropriate computer and internet skills for handling data, communication, and conducting business commerce.
- 5. Identify, understand, evaluate, and apply ethical reasoning as it pertains to a business setting.
