Students minoring in Asian Studies are required to take the following 5 courses.

Introductory Course

AST 100

Introduction to Asian Studies

1 Course Credit

Methods Course

One course, from the following:

AST 229/HIS 229	Modern Imperialism (HIS)	1 Course Credit
AST 240/WGS 240	Kinshp/Gen SE Asia (WGS)	1 Course Credit
AST 243	The Silk Road (HIS)	1 Course Credit

Electives

Three other AST courses, of which up to two study abroad credits at the 100 or 200 level may be applied with Department Chair approval. 

Considerations for the Minor— Students pursuing an Asian Studies minor will meet regularly with the Asian Studies Department Chair, but maintain their current major Academic Advisor(s).
