CHM 370 Adv Lab - Chromatography

Prerequisite: CHM 311 OR permission of instructor

The first of four laboratory courses in the Advanced Laboratory sequence required for all Chemistry majors. In this course, students will attend a set of lectures in chromatography and do the equivalent of six (6) experiments that provide both core instrumental analysis experience as well as laboratories for biochemistry, analytical, and physical chemistry. All students will be required to attend at least three research seminars (or equivalent) by visiting speakers each term and read important chemical literature. All required activities must be documented on each student's Advanced Lab Portfolio which must be maintained throughout the four-course Advanced Laboratory series. 1/2 Course Credit
