THET 255 Theatre Design and Management Capstone Project

This course engages students with a culminating active experience that integrates students' learning with the degree program. Students will choose and execute an internal or external project in one of the many possible fields in theatre design and management such as technical direction, scenic design, costume design, lighting design, sound design, projections design, stage management, production management, or a multi-discipline project. Students will be mentored throughout project by theatre instructors who will meet regularly to ensure the project is moving forward correctly. Students will develop from this experience, becoming better artisans and managers.

  2. Execute a theatre design or management project in accordance with the project plan.
  3. Use clear communication in the context of a project plan.

  5. Formulate personal goals for future design and management experiences.
