NUR 352 Research in Nursing

Prerequisites: MAT 104, NUR 301 and NUR 351 with C or better.

Guided by the AACN Essentials (2021), this course prepares students to critically appraise research emphasizing the scholarship of nursing practice and integration of evidence-based practice (EBP). Students explore the steps of the research process, including the formulation of clinical questions, literature appraisal, data interpretation, and translation of evidence into practice. Legal, ethical, and regulatory considerations in research and EBP are addressed. This course has two hours of didactic instruction per week.
