NUR 225 Essentials Nursing Practice I

Guided by the AACN Essentials (2021), this course focuses on the safe performance of essential nursing skills required for professional practice. Students will be provided opportunities to develop and perform competencies related to these psychomotor skills in the nursing skills laboratory. Emphasis is placed on skill accuracy, patient safety, infection control and application of nursing standards. This course includes 3 hours of classroom experience and three hours of nursing skills laboratory exposure each week.
