HIS 252 WWI: Fact & Fiction
This course will examine both the First World War and the role that literature played in shaping historical experiences and creating historical myths. This class approaches the First World War in two different ways. During the first half of the term, we will be reading and viewing primary and secondary sources to build our knowledge primarily of "war time" Europe. During the second half of the term, each student will engage in a substantive research project, resulting in a polished research essay or creative project and a presentation.
