PTAP 275 Clinical Education IV

This course consists of a full-time clinical rotation at one clinical site. Students will apply skills and knowledge from all previous coursework and clinical experiences to patient care in preparation for entry-level practice.

Course Objectives

  1. Manage a full case load of patients per clinical facility guidelines.
  2. Present an in-service to the clinical site.
  3. Function as a team member in a clinical setting.
  4. Provide physical therapy service to a variety of patients under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
  5. Identify and practice appropriate professional and ethical behaviors by communicating effectively with clinical staff and patients.
  6. Perform physical therapy interventions and data collection efficiently.
  7. Document treatment sessions accurately and completely using clinical standards.
