This course describes the etiology, signs, symptoms, and treatment of diseases and disorders commonly encountered in physical therapy.

- Describe common human diseases in terms of causes, lesions, and typical manifestations relative to the field of physical therapy.
- Use the terminology of pathology in the appropriate context.
- Formulate an understanding of basic disease mechanisms, including the structural, biochemical, and functional limitations that accompany disease.
- Identify the foundations of cell injury, adaptation, inflammation, and repair.
- Discuss the clinical implications of various systemic pathologies.
