Previously MUSC 184. Each ensemble offers performance-oriented exposure to both traditional and contemporary styles in its genre. Special attention will be given to those musicianship skills which are crucial to effective ensemble performance.

Course Objectives
- Perform ensemble repertoire ranging from traditional to contemporary styles.
- Demonstrate, in performance, knowledge of the musical adjustments required by different composers
and styles. - Demonstrate technical proficiency on his/her instrument or voice.
- Demonstrate an understanding of ensemble performance including: balance, blend, dynamics, and
precision. - Demonstrate an understanding of interpretation including: phrasing, style and nuance.
- Demonstrate an understanding of individual responsibility to the whole through regular class attendance,
learning music in a timely manner, and proper behavior during rehearsals.
