HMDV 107 Silas Craft Collegians Seminar III
This is a special, one-credit hour seminar specifically designed for students enrolled in the Silas Craft Collegians Program. The purpose of this course is to continue building upon ideas introduced during previous Silas Craft seminar courses through a focus on: strategies for self-motivation, information literacy, goal-setting, group dynamics, team building, self-acceptance, active learning, personal responsibility, and self-discipline.

Course Objectives
- Evaluate progress on action plans for college success and make adjustments and refinements as needed.
- Identify areas for personal growth based on literature and activities presented in class, and formulate concrete strategies for achieving that growth.
- Apply the principles of group dynamics and demonstrate cultural awareness when working in non-homogenous groups to achieve a common goal.
- Demonstrate and employ a basic understanding of standards and techniques for research and citation in the academic environment.
- Identify and articulate individual sources of motivation for academic and personal success.
