Student Health and Insurance
Nursing and allied health students are required to meet specified health requirements. Documentation is required for proof of freedom from TB and immunity to rubella, rubeola, mumps, and varicella through vaccination or titer. Hepatitis B vaccine (HBV) or declination is also required and immunization for tetanus. Other requirements may apply.
The college does not administer a student medical insurance plan. The Maryland Health Benefit Exchange (MHBE), working in partnership with the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, Maryland Insurance Administration, Department of Human Resources and statewide stakeholders has established Maryland’s state-based health insurance exchange, which opens each Fall.
