MATH 061 Basic Algebra and Geometry

This course includes algebraic topics such as solving first degree equations; solving and graphing linear inequalities on a number line; and graphing linear equations. Students will develop fluency with fractions and solve problems involving percentages, unit conversions, proportions, perimeter, area, the Pythagorean Theorem, distance formula, and midpoint formula. All sections require the use of the interactive computer program that comes with the software code. Use of a calculator is limited to a four-function calculator.

Successful completion of Continuing Education Intermediate Math and ENGL 093 OR appropriate score on the Math and English placement tests.
