ARTS 264 History of Photography

Previously ARTT 293. This course is an examination of the development of photography from its beginnings to the present day. It will include the study of the interrelationships between photography and other visual arts, the effects of changing technologies on the photographic image, and the contributions of major photographers and art movements, as well as historical perspectives.
