TVRD 140 Video Production I
This course will include the basic skills of video: direction, camera techniques, lighting and sound techniques, and editing techniques. The emphasis will be on producing short video segments using television field production techniques and design principles.

- 1. Use the cause and effect model to design one’s message.
- 2. Demonstrate proficient use of basic camera functions and elements.
- 3. Define and implement basic shot framing and composition.
- 4. Design and implement 3 point lighting.
- 5. Understand the use of microphones and basic audio recording techniques.
- 6. Demonstrate proficiency editing in a digital environment.
- 7. Discuss the origins of Copyright Law.
- 8. Demonstrate an understanding of Intellectual Property/Copyright Law.
