LFIT 131 Martial Arts of Southeast Asia
This course is designed to introduce the student to the Southeast Asian martial arts of the Philippines, Indonesia, and Burma. The techniques and methods of Pentjak Silat (Indonesia), Kali/Escrima/Arnis (Philippines), and Bando (Burma) will be examined and trained. Class practice will include weapon, striking, throwing, and grappling techniques. Class time will be divided between empty hand and weapons training.
