This curriculum is designed for those students who want to use an interdisciplinary approach in the pursuit of knowledge. Women's Studies is designed to transfer to a four-year school where students would further their studies in a similar concentration. The curriculum gives the student flexibility to pursue a major interest and, at the same time, to fulfill the lower-division general education requirements for transfer to a baccalaureate degree program. Students should seek guidance from advisors and the institution to which they intend to transfer to determine appropriate coursework for specific transfer programs.

A graduate should be able to

1. 1. Identify, understand, evaluate, and apply ethical reasoning.
2. 2. Develop intellectual curiosity, open-mindedness, and tolerance.
3. 3. Understand the construction of gender and its intersection with race, sex, and class to create an oppressive gender system.
4. 4. Use the analytical frameworks generated by women's studies' scholarship to restore women's contributions to the historical record.

Total Credit Hours: 60

The Arts & Humanities Core requirement may alternatively be fulfilled by completing a World Language Sequence plus WMST 193. Students who choose to complete a World Language Sequence are not required to complete General Education Core Electives.
