HMGT-255 Casino Operations
This course acquaints students with the various games and gaming devices used in a casino. The techniques used to protect the games and gaming devices, casino floor layout criteria, departmental organization, and performance analysis are explored. Students will learn the basics of casino mathematics.

- 3. Explain the relationship between house advantage and casino profitability
- 4. Create an organization chart of any gaming department in a casino
- 5. Design floor layouts for slots, and table games
- 6. Explain criteria used in floor signage decisions
- 7. Explain the criteria for setting and moving maximum and minimum bets
- 8. Create a staffing chart for a table games department
- 9. Calculate the amount of complimentary goods and services a high limit player deserves
- 10. Explain the basic playing rules of all casino games
- 11. Demonstrate roulette and blackjack dealing rules
