HUMN-105 Projecting the Past: Ancient Rome, Cinema, and History
This course will explore the history and cultural development of ancient Rome through the media of film. This course will introduce the most popular narrative tendencies and film genres typical of films focusing on this period of history, including the implications of the political, social, and cultural contexts depicted in film. Major films and significant directors from this period will be viewed and discussed.
