THET-224 Musical Theatre Performance

This course serves as an overview of all the necessary skills needed in musical theatre performance. Topics include singing techniques, music reading and sight singing, choosing and performing audition material, working with musical directors and accompanists, acting the song, the business of musical theatre, and Broadway history from 1927 to present. Students will attend at least two professional musical theatre performances. The class will culminate in a public performance of class material.
