PTAP-213 Clinical Education I

This course consists of a review of Healthcare Provider-level CPR and First Aid, HIPAA, OSHA Hazard Communication (includes bloodborne pathogen), and introduction to the clinic during the first two weeks of the semester, followed by weekly on-site clinical experience in local settings. The course will allow for observation of physical therapy interventions and application of elemental principles of patient care to uncomplicated patients under direct supervision and at the discretion of the Clinical Instructor.

Prerequisite

Prerequisite: BIOL-101, ENGL-121, and PTAP-100. Corequisites: BIOL-203, PSYC-101, PTAP-110, and PTAP-130.

Notes

Students are required to provide their own transportation to and from the varied clinical sites. Students must also be available for a clinical schedule that may include, but is not limited to extended hours, alternate days, evenings, and/or weekends. The clinical schedule listed is a representation of one of the possible scheduling options.
