NUR 342 Essential-Hlt Assess & Nurs II
Prerequisite: NUR 341 with C or better
Offered: Typically every Spring Term
This course focuses on the a comprehensive understanding of the essential fundamental and/or foundational concepts necessary to provide holistic nursing care for clients throughout the lifespan through the utilization of the nursing process, as recommended by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing's (AACN's) Essentials of Baccalaureate Education for Professional Nursing Practice. The course provides the opportunity for students to apply their knowledge and skills learned in healthcare settings. Integration of health assessment, pathophysiology, and pharmacology will be emphasized. This course includes four hours of theory/classroom experience each week and 84 hours of clinical experience per term. Appropriate standardized exam is required.
