Classical Languages B.A.
	
NOTE:   At   this   time,   a   major   in   Classical   Languages   is   not   offered.   Students   interested   in   proposing   an   Independent   Major   in   Classical   Civilizations,   Classical   Studies,   or   a   similar   area,   should   consult   with   Dr.   John   Carlevale   or   Dr.   Jeanne   Hoch   (Program   Coordinator),   both   in   the   Foreign   Languages   Program,   as   early   as   possible   in   their   College   career.   
	
		
			Degree Requirements
		
A major in Classical Languages is achieved by the completion of the following requirements, in addition to the General Education and electives required for a degree:
			Required Core Course

			Required Distribution Courses
		
A minimum of seven (7) additional LAT course credits above the LAT 103 level
			Required Collateral Courses
		
Another foreign language through the 103 level
	 Proficiency Requirements for Retention in and Completion of the Major — In addition to specified course requirements, each student must satisfy program standards for written and oral communication.
Other Considerations or Recommendations — The Program recommends PHI 305 as an elective, although this course does not count toward the major requirements.
