TVRD-140 Video Production I

This course will include the basic skills of video: direction, camera techniques, lighting and sound techniques, and editing techniques. The emphasis will be on producing short video segments using television field production techniques and design principles.

  1. 1. Use the cause and effect model to design one’s message.
  2. 2. Demonstrate proficient use of basic camera functions and elements.
  3. 3. Define and implement basic shot framing and composition.

  5. 5. Understand the use of microphones and basic audio recording techniques.
  6. 6. Demonstrate proficiency editing in a digital environment.
  7. 7. Discuss the origins of Copyright Law.
  8. 8. Demonstrate an understanding of Intellectual Property/Copyright Law.
