FINE-114 History and Culture of Hip-Hop

This course will expose students to the elements of Hip-Hop culture, including graffiti, emceeing, deejaying, and dance forms like locking, popping, and b-boying. The influence of West African culture will be discussed as will Hip-Hop's American roots, its development and history, and its influence on American and world culture.
